Candidates should possess a Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering. Additionally, at least 2 years of experience leading engineering teams, either as a tech lead or people lead, is required. Strong facilitation, communication, and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels and personality types. Candidates must be detail-oriented, capable of holding colleagues accountable, and have extensive experience working on software engineering for large-scale applications, coupled with strong computer science fundamentals and first principles thinking.
The Senior Engineer will build applications and infrastructure to support product features, interview and hire new engineering team members, and ensure infrastructure scalability as the company grows. They will collaborate with other technical leaders to ensure adequate coverage, maintain a high degree of autonomy, accountability, and responsibility within the engineering organization, and define the engineering team's roadmap in concert with product and design. Responsibilities also include facilitating the success of other engineers, ensuring efficient product development, and managing the engineering team's productivity and momentum.
