Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical, business or financial field experience
  • 15+ years of working as a product manager on technology-powered product teams
  • Working knowledge of modern techniques in product discovery and delivery
  • Excellent written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead teams of product managers and technical business analysts on empowered cross-functional teams to solve hard problems for customers and the business
  • Collaborate with Directors in Engineering, Design, Service, Sales, and Claims on strategy, vision, building, and maintaining digital products
  • Lead continued efforts of a large-scale service organization transformation
  • Set the long-term (2-3 years) vision of a product portfolio (multiple products), including funding and business outcomes; cultivate understanding and champion the strategy
  • Set product objectives and key results (OKRs) for the product portfolio and align functions like engineering, design, finance, marketing, service, and sales around measurable goals
  • Specify market needs for existing and future products based on research; use data and marketplace research to prioritize, create complex business cases with enterprise dependencies, and lead development/implementation of complex product strategies for internal/external customers
  • Provide high-level roadmap direction illustrating epics and features across a portfolio of products/platforms and integration with cross-functional efforts
  • Deepen partnerships with key enterprise functions through shared outcomes, leadership communications, buy-in, and ongoing stakeholder management
  • Foster an engaging environment, encourage accountability and development, break down barriers, align passion to business outcomes, grow talent, solve talent gaps, turn challenges into opportunities, resolve conflicts, and drive high-performing teams with expertise, energy, and empathy
  • Build a culture of data-driven decisions, influence stakeholders, and combine data across products/departments for broader insights
  • Architect teams by identifying needed people/skills, building/changing teams, and recruiting internal/external resources
  • Set long-term goals for product portfolio and team members; ensure accountability for tracking progress against key results and balancing priorities with corporate initiatives or new products
  • Oversee team's product requirements, evaluate quality, teach/lead on writing requirements, and use them to build products
  • Identify/validate problems/opportunities for multiple user groups/scenarios, align stakeholders, document high-level business requirements, and manage vendor relationships, RFPs, or POCs
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with business partners and executives in engineering, marketing, design, and sales for smooth product activities
