Requirements

Seasoned and strategic compliance leader experience
Ability to oversee a high-performing team of compliance professionals
Deep partnership experience with product, legal, engineering, operations, and bank partners
Expertise in financial regulatory compliance, particularly for lending and payments offerings
Strong strategic direction and day-to-day oversight skills for compliance advisory functions
Capability to shape team priorities, ensure high-quality execution, and evolve product governance
Experience driving strategy, setting operational standards, and advising on responsible product scaling
Availability for hybrid position with 3 days per week on-site in New York or SF Headquarters (relocation assistance possible for candidates outside NY/NJ/SF area)

Responsibilities

Lead the Product Compliance team, aligning compliance advisory efforts with Flex’s business goals and product roadmap
Provide strategic direction and day-to-day oversight for compliance advisory functions, including new product advisory, ad hoc advisory, issue advisory & remediation support, policy development & refresh, training content SME, product risk assessment support, regulatory & partner change management, partner management & response, and marketing reviews
Strengthen cross-functional collaboration with product, legal, engineering, and risk teams to deliver responsible innovation at scale
Represent Compliance in external conversations with partners and regulators, balancing product opportunity with regulatory clarity
