Requirements

  • BS/BA in computer science, engineering, or relevant field; MS/MA is a plus
  • 12+ years of experience in IT management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
  • Proven experience as a Head of IT/Info Systems or similar role
  • Experience in analysis, implementation, and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications
  • Strong experience in hardware/software systems, networks, IT security, IT infrastructure, and IT support, including cloud computing, network administration, system administration, cybersecurity, disaster recovery, IT service management, and IT governance
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex and large-scale IT projects and initiatives
  • Experience in developing and managing a budget
  • Strong organizational, operating, and leadership skills
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively
  • Certifications in ITIL, PMP, CISSP, CISM, CISA, or other relevant IT domains are preferred
  • Experience working with a media or publishing company, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all technology operations and evaluate them according to established goals
  • Develop and implement the IT strategy and roadmap for the organization, aligning it with the business goals and objectives
  • Lead and manage the IT systems, IT security, IT infrastructure, and IT support teams, ensuring high performance, availability, reliability, and security of the IT services and systems
  • Establish and maintain IT policies, standards, procedures, and best practices, ensuring alignment with company strategy and compliance with both regulatory and industry requirements
  • Analyze the business requirements of all departments and determine their technology needs
  • Purchase efficient and cost-effective equipment and software
  • Identify the need for upgrades, configurations, or new systems
  • Responsible for Help Desk, cybersecurity, computer scientists and technicians
  • Manage IT budget under CTO
  • Assist in building relationships with vendors and creating cost-efficient contracts
  • Partner various internal teams (i.e. Finance, People, Legal, Sales) to enhance and embed tools
  • Plan and manage the IT budget, resources, vendors, and contracts, ensuring cost-effectiveness and value delivery
  • Monitor and evaluate the IT performance, risks, and issues, and initiate corrective and preventive actions as needed
  • Stay updated with the latest IT trends, technologies, and innovations, and identify and implement opportunities for improvement and innovation
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with the senior management, business stakeholders, IT staff, and external partners
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and excellence
