Requirements

  • Senior leadership experience within Medical Affairs or related global medical strategy/operations roles
  • Expertise in driving capability development, process excellence, and strategic alignment across global Medical Affairs organizations
  • Strong partnership skills across therapeutic areas, regions, and functions (e.g., Digital, Insights and Analytics, Scientific Communications, Medical Affairs Technology)
  • Deep knowledge of Medical Affairs engagement strategies, including Field Medical, Medical Information, and Digital/Omnichannel platforms
  • Ability to design, implement, and continuously improve frameworks, tools, methodologies, templates for engagement planning, execution, and measurement
  • Experience in operationalizing omnichannel approaches aligned with scientific and compliance standards
  • Proven track record in process and capability development, continuous improvement of processes, tools, and operating models

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Medical Excellence Leadership team to define and execute the global Medical Excellence strategy
  • Lead initiatives that elevate consistency, quality, and impact of medical engagement planning, execution, and measurement
  • Drive continuous improvement of Medical Affairs processes, tools, and operating models
  • Collaborate with GMSO teams (Digital, Insights and Analytics, Scientific Communications and Content Strategy, Medical Affairs Technology) to build programs leveraging cross-capability connections
  • Partner with Regional Medical Excellence to ensure consistent deployment and execution across regional teams
  • Develop and deploy frameworks, tools, and support to help local/regional medical teams translate global medical strategy into effective engagement plans
  • Define standard methodologies, templates, and tools optimizing planning, execution, and measurement across engagement channels (Field Medical, Medical Information, Digital, etc.)
  • Collaborate with Channel Leads (digital, personal, print) to establish principles for channel selection, integration, and sequencing
  • Support country and regional teams in operationalizing omnichannel approaches aligned with scientific and compliance standards
  • Identify and implement process and capability development initiatives
