Requirements

Candidates must have experience building and scaling cloud infrastructure using AWS, proficiency in Terraform or similar infrastructure as code tools in production, and comfort with Docker and containerized environments. Knowledge of setting up and tuning monitoring and observability tools, understanding code (especially TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python), and experience in fast-paced, ambiguous environments like early-stage startups are essential. The role requires the ability to be the first in a position and build from scratch, valuing pragmatism, simplicity, and speed, with excitement for introducing new tools and improving developer experience. Full right to work in the EU is mandatory, with no visa sponsorship offered.

Responsibilities

The Senior DevOps Engineer will build, own, and scale the platform powering Tilt, focusing on improving CI/CD pipeline speed, enhancing monitoring and observability, and managing the transition from REST API to GraphQL. Responsibilities include driving AWS cost optimization and scaling, improving Docker builds, collaborating with data engineers on data synchronization, introducing load testing and better testing environments, and reworking code build processes to enable full local execution of Tilt.
