Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Minimum of 7 years of experience in database design, development, and administration
Extensive experience in database design
Strong analytical skills
Ability to translate complex business requirements into appropriate data models/data relationships

Responsibilities

Analyze business requirements and translate them into database solutions
Design and develop logical and physical data models that support business processes and applications
Create and maintain database schemas, tables, indexes, views, and other database objects
Design, build and maintain scalable and reliable data structure and harmonized data marts
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards and regulations
Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and other techniques
Collaborate with software developers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to integrate databases with applications
Support the design, build, and maintenance of scalable and reliable data pipelines, ETL processes, and data orchestration
Develop and implement database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans
Monitor and maintain database systems to ensure high availability and performance
Stay current with emerging database technologies and best practices
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions that support business goals
Partner with Data Management to clarify requirements, coordinate testing, and ensure data is properly governed
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on data and data structures
