Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in database design, development, and administration
- Extensive experience in database design
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into appropriate data models/data relationships
Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into database solutions
- Design and develop logical and physical data models that support business processes and applications
- Create and maintain database schemas, tables, indexes, views, and other database objects
- Design, build and maintain scalable and reliable data structure and harmonized data marts
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and other techniques
- Collaborate with software developers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to integrate databases with applications
- Support the design, build, and maintenance of scalable and reliable data pipelines, ETL processes, and data orchestration
- Develop and implement database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans
- Monitor and maintain database systems to ensure high availability and performance
- Stay current with emerging database technologies and best practices
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions that support business goals
- Partner with Data Management to clarify requirements, coordinate testing, and ensure data is properly governed
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on data and data structures
