Requirements

Candidates must possess a PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in applied OR/AI/ML roles, with at least 3 years focused on supply chain problems, is essential. Strong expertise in optimization, regression, classification, time series, and deep learning is required, along with proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala. Hands-on experience in developing and implementing Operations Research and Machine Learning models for supply chain issues, coupled with knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Snowflake), is necessary. Excellent communication skills to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders are also a requirement.

Responsibilities

The Senior Supply Chain Data Scientist will lead the design, development, and implementation of OR/AI/ML models for supply chain functions, including demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and network optimization. This role involves developing and deploying generative AI models, fine-tuning LLMs, and evaluating model performance. The individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams in supply chain, engineering, IT, and business solutions to align technical solutions with business needs. Responsibilities also include partnering with solution architects to ensure appropriate data flow and development using suitable tools for rapid prototyping, testing, and deployment. Ensuring models are robust, scalable, and production-ready with monitoring and feedback loops, and staying updated on emerging technologies for supply chain optimization are key duties.
