Requirements

Candidates must have 5+ years of industry experience in data science, with at least 1 year of leadership experience, and an MS or PhD in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research, or a related field. Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, deep expertise in forecasting, optimization, and machine learning, and strong experimentation skills including A/B testing and causal inference are required. Preferred experience includes 3+ years of leadership, spatial-temporal demand forecasting, routing problems, supply chain optimization, building data pipelines, automating workflows, and working with ML infrastructure.

Responsibilities

The Data Science Manager will lead and mentor a team of data scientists, owning the data science roadmap for supply which focuses on demand forecasting, positioning system optimization, fleet health, and hardware innovations. They will partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to design and test data-driven strategies, develop and deploy machine learning and optimization models, and define/track key performance metrics. The role also involves overseeing A/B testing and causal inference analyses, and advocating for a data-driven culture by communicating insights to stakeholders.
