Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with 5-12 years of experience building large-scale systems or ML/AI pipelines. Strong skills in scripting languages, particularly Python and Bash, are required, alongside experience with Java programming and the AWS ecosystem. Experience with data integration, governance, and quality tools, as well as data warehousing platforms like DataBricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, and Redshift/SageMaker, is also necessary. Scala experience is considered a plus.

Responsibilities

The Senior Data Engineer will design highly scalable and performant data systems from the ground up, including designing and implementing a detailed data architecture/data model and solidifying ELT pipelines. They will focus on data modeling, pipeline design, implementation, and deployment, optimizing pipeline performance, designing and optimizing clusters, and improving query performance. Additionally, the role involves data tool analysis and selection, data preparation, data monitoring and visualization, and system integration, working closely with various engineering and domain expert teams to implement the data architecture.
