Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience, and have at least 6+ years of experience in developing data and software solutions, including ETLs using Java and Scala. Strong experience with cloud services like AWS, GraphQL, Kafka, Flink, Spark, Cassandra, MongoDB, DataDog, and Splunk is required, along with familiarity with data engineering best practices and experience with monitoring and improving systems for service excellence.

Responsibilities

The Senior Data Engineer will lead and actively participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, analysis, development, and deployment efforts for multiple enterprise applications projects to tackle sophisticated business problems, and will provide technical guidance and mentoring to peers and junior engineers. They will also collaborate with EG leaders to architect and build robust applications, maintain and improve solutions and systems with a focus on service excellence, and apply industry standards and innovative technologies to enhance efficiency, quality, and system performance, ultimately driving innovation around the Travel Media Network and improving Ad Relevancy for customers and providing insights for advertisers.
