Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 8 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role. Proficiency in SQL and other relevant programming languages, experience with ETL processes and data warehousing, and familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP are essential. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and teamwork abilities are also required. Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark is considered a plus.
The Senior Data Engineer will design, construct, and maintain data processing systems and databases to meet business needs. This includes implementing ETL processes for automated data collection and integration, and developing/optimizing data models and database structures. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver data solutions, monitoring data quality and integrity, and troubleshooting data-related issues. Additionally, the engineer will stay updated on industry trends, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to a supportive engineering culture.
