Requirements

Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis is required, with experience in programming languages like Python or R being an asset. Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools such as Looker, PowerBI, Tableau, or Alteryx is needed. Experience supporting or working within Strategic Finance/FP&A teams is preferred, as is previous experience in SaaS or recurring revenue businesses. Excellent communication skills are essential for conveying complex findings to diverse stakeholders. A track record of managing open-ended projects from inception to completion, including defining scope, prioritizing tasks, and collaborating with stakeholders, is necessary. The candidate should be proactive, results-driven, and possess a strategic mindset with the ability to think through business implications. Experience designing and presenting executive-level dashboards is an asset.

Responsibilities

Partner with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Marketing, Sales/GTM, and Product, to define, develop, and track financial performance metrics and goals. Proactively identify trends and anomalies within financial and customer data, providing actionable recommendations to optimize business outcomes. Design and execute complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from internal data sources. Define, calculate, and report on essential financial metrics such as net dollar retention, customer churn, and lifetime value, translating their operational implications. Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards and reports to track financial metrics and communicate findings to stakeholders. Collaborate with Data Engineering & Analytics Engineering teams to identify new data sources, validate data accuracy, and provide requirements and business context for new metrics.
