Requirements

  • Completed economics degree (ideally with a finance focus)
  • Approximately five years of professional experience in controlling
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent understanding of numbers
  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles
  • Structured and proactive working style, with the ability to implement new processes in cross-functional teams, demonstrating team spirit and sense of responsibility – ideally supplemented by initial leadership experience
  • Excellent proficiency in MS Excel
  • Experience with databases (e.g., SAP) and presentation tools (Google Slides)
  • Negotiation-level proficiency in German and English

Responsibilities

  • Actively shape the expansion of the logistics site in Gießen
  • Use experience in plant or process controlling to build controlling processes together with on-site operational management, functional superior, and the Operations Controlling Team in Berlin
  • Support the team and site management with important business economic analyses
  • Participate in the strategic alignment and development of controlling processes
  • Contribute to the ramp-up and launch of the site, shaping process and system development from the ground up
  • Develop innovative controlling instruments such as real-time reports and quantitative forecasts
  • Review and integrate existing controlling processes and reporting tools
  • Report directly to the site manager in collaboration with the Senior Controller and support strategic decisions through analyses of business economic, logistical, and operational key figures as well as business cases
  • Ensure all necessary data is provided for monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, investment controlling, and budgeting
  • Create presentations, ad-hoc reports, and deviation analyses
