Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in computer science, Mathematics, or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in cloud servers, services, and software, or equivalent sys admin experience. Experience in a 24x7 managed services, hosted service company, or Network Operations Center environment is required, along with familiarity with ITIL processes and ITSM systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, Windows and Linux system administration, and developing CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, and Terraform templates is necessary. Experience with Azure native services and tools for managing cost, security, and compliance in Azure is also required. A strong understanding of sys admin concepts including virtualization, containers, disk storage, encryption, security, network connectivity, firewalls, and load balancers is essential.

Responsibilities

The Senior DevOps Consultant will support client Microsoft Azure infrastructure, respond to escalations from the monitoring team, and analyze/resolve incidents. Responsibilities include communicating ticket status, interacting with clients to identify and troubleshoot IT issues, and installing/configuring client systems in Azure. The role involves configuring and tuning cloud-based tools, managing cost, security, and compliance, and executing monthly maintenance such as patching and verifying backups. Creating and maintaining documentation, promoting best practices, participating in client discussions, and providing consultation and monthly reports on cloud infrastructure are also key duties.
