Candidates should possess 6+ years of relevant software development experience building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems, along with experience in Go, C/C++, or Java. They should have a strong understanding of concurrency, multithreading, and distributed system architectures, and experience developing cloud infrastructure services is preferred.
The Senior Cloud Performance Engineer will be responsible for benchmarking system performance, conducting database performance analysis, performing capacity sizing and optimization, troubleshooting and debugging applications and server errors, recommending configuration tuning and optimizations for performance bottlenecks, working closely with ClickHouse’s core development, cloud, and security teams to improve performance, planning and driving Chaos initiatives, developing and managing tools for chaos experiments, studying system resilience and operational challenges, and extending the backend to enable Chaos Engineering techniques.
