Requirements

  • Great problem-solving skills with a hunger for learning
  • Advanced 3D CAD user, with exceptional surfacing abilities (must submit portfolio when applying)
  • Experience with the following 3D tools is a bonus: PTC Creo, Rhino, Grasshopper and Keyshot
  • Ability to learn new 3D tools quickly (important for exploring new CAD tools and workflows)
  • Understanding of injection-molding and how to design around its constraints
  • Computational design experience (Grasshopper or equivalent) is an advantage
  • Fluency with different types of 3D printing (FDM, SLS, SLA, etc.)
  • Comfortable preparing models for prototyping (CNC and 3D printing)
  • Great presentation skills (verbal, written and visual)
  • Experience with Adobe Illustrator and other Adobe CC tools is a bonus
  • Experience in the consumer electronics industry is a bonus
  • Strong English and Mandarin skills essential for working in a global company
  • Degree from an accredited engineering institution (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

  • Develop production-ready 3D CAD models that define the A-side surfaces (what the user sees & touches) of our world-class products
  • Lead innovation work that is exploring the cutting-edge of 3D CAD tools and workflows at Logitech
  • Build computational design scripts that make complex and intricate geometry a reality
  • Solve complex design problems at the intersection of manufacturing constraints, function and aesthetics
  • When multiple 3D CAD tools or complex CAD strategies are involved, you will be too!
  • Create prototypes that help you evaluate your on-screen designs in the real-world
  • Lead and inspire others and teach on occasion too (as 3D CAD is your specialty)
  • Occasional international travel will be required
