Requirements

  • 5+ years operations purchasing experience in a precision engineering environment (Stryker experience preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in business, supply chain, purchasing, engineering or other relevant areas (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Continuously fully comply with all GMP, ISO 13485 and regulatory standard requirements
  • Fulfill company policies and procedures relative to purchasing activities and follow compliance policy
  • Drive supplier development for indirect materials (e.g., cutting tools, gauges, fixtures, equipment, maintenance/repair, facilities), including contract negotiation and supplier management
  • Manage all purchasing activities to ensure materials meet quality, cost, delivery, inventory, and other performance goals
  • Actively collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, support supply base strategy creation and implementation
  • Lead continuous improvement projects for cost reduction, process optimization, and efficiency improvement
  • Support implementation of processes to build a best-in-class purchasing organization
  • Develop strong partnership relationships with key suppliers and internal disciplines within compliance
  • Support identification of supply base risks and implementation of mitigation plans
  • Develop scorecards and conduct business reviews for key suppliers
  • Prepare/oversight of orders and follow up to expedite delivery and shipment
  • Develop and maintain necessary records, files, reporting, and lead assigned projects
  • Build up, coach, and develop junior team members in professionalism, growth ability, and results-orientation to meet company targets
