The Senior Backend Engineer will design features, APIs, and models for a large user base of 16,000 merchants and 12 million shoppers. They will work closely with an engineering manager, product manager, and designer, collaborating with a team of senior engineers. The role involves participating in solving technical challenges to scale Gorgias's platform and systems, shipping features in production autonomously, and monitoring deployment success. Additionally, the engineer will assist customers by debugging and providing incident responses as part of a support and on-call rotation.
