Requirements

Solid backend software development experience using strongly typed/compiled languages (e.g., Kotlin, Java, C#, Scala, Go, Rust)
Strong foundational understanding of scaling, reliability, observability, and data security
Experience setting up CI, deployments, and hosting solutions from scratch
Experience working in a fast-paced environment, shipping fast
Self-starter and keen learner able to pick up new tools, languages, and concepts on the job
Interest in AI (not required to be a Machine Learning Engineer)

Responsibilities

In close collaboration with Product, Core Engineering, and ML teams, build new core features and tooling to improve the Ash product
Design and implement new service contracts for communication with the app and other tools (e.g., using gRPC)
Drive integration and ML inference efforts to leverage AI SaaS solutions and self-hosted ML models reliably in production
Keep platforms running smoothly at scale, preparing systems for rapid growth and increased demand
Work across the full stack as needed, including app (Dart/Flutter), internal tooling (Next.js/TypeScript), and ML scripts (Python) for evaluation, data processing, and model training
