Requirements

Experience as a Senior Backend Engineer, demonstrated through passion for creating clean, consistent, and well-organized code
Proficiency in Python with FastAPI framework, SQLAlchemy, Celery
Familiarity with Golang
Knowledge of legacy systems like Django (being phased out)
Expertise in data technologies: PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, BigQuery
Experience with infrastructure: GCP, Kubernetes (GKE), Docker, Datadog, ArgoCD, CircleCI, GitHub
Ability to work in an agile "build it and run it" environment, owning build, launch, monitor, and support of services
Capability to ensure seamless transitions with zero downtime and no revenue loss in a monolith-to-microservices architecture
Skills to reduce complexity while increasing adaptability for new country openings
Focus on high performance, reliability, security, and privacy by design in production environments

Responsibilities

Build and operate efficient, high cohesion, low coupling services to support business growth
Work closely with squad members and Staff Engineer
Participate in bi-monthly rituals with group and Backend Chapter to share practices, learn from others, and align technical direction with overall vision
Ensure seamless transition from monolith to distributed service-oriented architecture with zero downtime and no revenue loss
Reduce codebase complexity while increasing adaptability for new country openings
Guarantee high performance and reliability of production environments
Produce clean, consistent, and well-organized code in an agile environment where teams own their products
