Requirements

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with strong expertise in distributed systems and large-scale infrastructure. Required technical skills include Node.js, Typescript, Docker, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code, CICD tools, and various database architectures such as Mongo, Postgres, BigQuery, and Bigtable is necessary. Familiarity with data processing frameworks like Apache Beam and dbt, along with system architecture design, application development, and cloud networking configuration, is also required. Experience with Gen AI frameworks, React, React Native, Next.js, or mobile development is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Senior Backend Engineer will design, build, and scale the infrastructure for analytics, segmentation, and personalization products, including powering AI/ML systems. This role involves architecting, building, and maintaining data infrastructure systems, as well as building and deploying new microservices in a cloud environment to ensure scalability and reliability. The engineer will optimize cloud infrastructure for cost and performance, implement enterprise-grade security best practices, and drive architectural decisions in collaboration with cloud technology partners. Responsibilities also include defining API schemas, managing change over time, and ensuring the data platform remains efficient and secure while complying with global regulations.
