Requirements

Expertise in SQL and dbt (dbt Core)
Experience with Snowflake data lake
Familiarity with orchestration tools like Argo and Prefect
Strong data modeling skills to create clean, curated, and organized datasets
Engineer's rigor and seasoned data modeler's expertise for complex data problems
Ability to work collaboratively with subject matter experts, engineers, and product managers
Experience bringing engineering best practices (reliability, modularity, test coverage, documentation)
US-based for fully remote role

Responsibilities

Transform, test, deploy, and document data to deliver clean and trustworthy data for analysis to end-users
Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, and product managers to identify elegant and effective data structures for evolving business needs
Bring engineering best practices (reliability, modularity, test coverage, documentation) to DAGs and the Data team
Collaborate with data engineers to build robust, tested, scalable ELT pipelines
Perform data modeling: model raw data into clean, tested, and reusable datasets representing key business data concepts; define rules and requirements for data formats and attributes
Perform data transformation: build the data lakehouse by transforming raw data into meaningful, useful data elements through joining and filtering
Work with Director of Data and Analytics Engineering to define and drive data strategy and best practices as the senior-most individual contributor
