Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Stop Loss Underwriting team to achieve financial and strategic objectives through effective underwriting practices
  • Identifying and managing stop loss risk to maximize revenue, membership, and earnings
  • Conducting underwriting analysis and performing risk assessments for new and/or renewal of large group contracts
  • Applying in-depth knowledge of the Underwriter field to offer feedback for decisions and innovation strategies that enhance organizational growth and visibility
  • Preparing and delivering moderately complex new business quotes and/or existing business renewals
  • Reviewing work for accuracy and recommending pricing and/or alternatives based on financial analysis, underwriting principals, and business strategy
  • Assisting less experienced underwriters in development of technical skills or specific subject matter
  • Coaching more junior colleagues in techniques, processes, and responsibilities
