Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Economics, Regional Studies, or International Relations from a reputable institution, and a Master's degree in a relevant field such as international economics. A minimum of 2 years of work experience in a research or analysis role, preferably in or for the private sector, is required. Demonstrated knowledge of macroeconomics through prior experience or coursework is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, is necessary. Strong written and oral communication skills in English, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a team-oriented mindset are also required.
The Senior Analyst Contractor will monitor and analyze economic, political, and business trends in Sub-Saharan Africa, and forecast macroeconomic indicators. Responsibilities include conducting ongoing economic analysis, writing concise and impactful research deliverables for senior executives, and delivering research presentations to clients. The contractor will collaborate with the commercial team to support growth strategies and client relationships, and engage directly with C-suite executives.
