Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in business, Mathematics, Economics, Analytics, or a related field, with 3+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or strategy roles. Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, along with strong SQL skills, is required. Experience in Food Distribution, CPG, Retail, Consulting, or Financial Services, particularly with Merchandising, Category Management, or P&L analysis, is preferred. An advanced degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Senior Analyst will support the development and execution of data-driven strategies for Sysco’s Specialty companies by analyzing business and category performance data to generate actionable insights. Responsibilities include conducting deep-dive analyses, designing and building automated analytical tools, developing advanced SQL queries, and translating complex data into presentations for leadership. The role involves understanding Sysco’s category P&L structure, contributing to performance tracking frameworks, and partnering with leadership to identify opportunities and drive strategic recommendations.
