College or University degree and/or some relevant work experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of International tax reclaims markets
Knowledge of Tax documentation
Knowledge of Global Custody & Fund structures
Knowledge of Process Management & Operational Risk mitigation
Experience in Tax services in Global Custody or a Tax Utility (preferred)
Experience of dealing with Tax Authorities (preferred)

Responsibilities

Implement new operational procedures following changes in tax policy or law
Validate client tax status and eligibility for relief
Handle client and tax authority technical queries
Carry out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact
Potentially interact with committees and/or Senior Management
Serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other employees
Manage daily operational activities and supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees (but not a formal management role)
Be technically sound in area of expertise and have broader knowledge of other areas
Deliver a work product that requires less revision
Facilitate discussions and reach decisions
