Sr. Physical Design Engineer
GroqFull Time
Senior (5 to 8 years)
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required, with a Master's degree preferred. Candidates must possess at least four years of experience in Analog/Mixed Signal Design and verification of silicon, along with experience developing, verifying, and productizing SERDES, CDR, and PLL/DLL designs. Strong analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential, as are excellent technical documentation, written, and verbal communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills.
The Senior Analog IC Design Engineer will collaborate with chip/system architecture, physical design, and design teams to implement SerDes, PLL, ADC, DAC, PMU, and Data Converter modules. They will work with the layout team, provide necessary inputs for high-speed layout correctness, and develop and refine micro-architecture specifications. The role involves analyzing performance, power, and area tradeoffs, making implementation choices, and ensuring micro-architecture and design are fully verified/validated across multiple platforms, providing high-level circuit performance data to the architecture team. Finally, the engineer will implement, verify, and validate the design.
Licenses high-performance semiconductor IP cores
Omni Design Technologies creates high-performance, ultra-low power IP cores for the semiconductor industry, which are essential for advanced systems on chips (SoCs) used in technologies like 5G, LiDAR, and AI. They license these IP cores to other companies, allowing for seamless integration into existing designs, which simplifies the development of complex mixed-signal SoCs. Their collaborations with companies like LeddarTech and MegaChips highlight their ability to enhance technologies in automotive and data conversion sectors. The goal of Omni Design is to empower various industries by providing reliable semiconductor solutions that drive technological innovation.
