Requirements

Strong advisory and coordination practices for overseeing regulatory interactions in a large financial institution
Ability to build and maintain strong partnerships with global executive leadership for interactions with regulatory authorities in EMEA
Expertise in driving advanced preparation activities and assisting with authoring materials for regulatory submissions
Skills in ensuring responsiveness, timeliness, and accuracy of materials submitted to regulatory agencies
Strong partnership and collaboration with Global Supervisory Engagement Office and other corporate services/business units
Capability to identify and manage key risks, themes, and trends in regulatory engagements
Knowledge of complex and evolving regulations, aligning internal practices with supervisory expectations
Experience working closely with leaders at all levels to drive regulatory readiness throughout the engagement lifecycle
Proficiency in ensuring engagements align to standard processes and best practices
Ability to drive a proactive and transparent approach to regulatory engagement
Experience in managing intake, tracking, and coordination of regulatory correspondences and engagements
Support for EMEA Northern Trust Executive Leaders interfacing with regional and global regulatory agencies

Responsibilities

Assist with the development and execution of a comprehensive and evolving supervisory engagement strategy aligning regulatory objectives with business goals
Support engagement with regulators in EMEA and globally, fostering transparent and productive communication on regulatory priorities, examinations, and supervisory matters
Meet frequently with key regulatory contacts at all levels to drive alignment between their expectations and the organization's approach
Help lead the management of regulatory engagements, ensuring preparedness and responsiveness to supervisory requirements
Partner internally to ensure proactive resolution of regulatory issues
Help develop an integrated strategy addressing legal entity-specific, regional, global, and jurisdictional considerations, partnering with groups like government affairs, legal, and compliance
Contribute to and help maintain a set of policies and procedures to standardize regulatory engagement management practices across the firm
