Senior Accountant (Remote)

Position Overview

The Senior Accountant is responsible for the preparation, analysis, review, and reporting of financial metrics and operational results at a detailed level. This role also assists in various accounting functions, including but not limited to, the month-end close process, quarterly tax filings, audits, and providing analytical support for quarterly public filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

A Senior Accountant will be adept at performing a variety of financial activities such as planning, analysis, and reporting. They will work with diverse information sources and databases, including those related to revenue, operating expenses, and payroll. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to present financial information and models concisely and comprehensibly.

The Impact You'll Make

• Journal entry preparation and balance sheet reconciliation for multiple general ledger accounts, including expense accruals, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, capitalized internally developed software, and tax.
• Initial preparation and review of monthly revenue and operating expense reports through various analytical procedures, including flux analysis and comparisons to other operating metrics.
• Perform detailed analyses of various financial metrics for management.
• Assist tax consultants with the recording of quarterly tax provisions and reconciliations.
• Assist in the monthly accounting close process.
• Support various projects such as external reviews, audits, taxes, and public financial reporting filing requirements.
• Assist in the SAP ERP implementation.
• Perform research and analysis as required.

What You've Accomplished

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in finance or accounting-related functions.
• Critical thinking and analytical skills, with comfort working with high-volume databases.
• Extensive knowledge of GAAP and its application to accounting entries.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and good judgment.
• Ability to work independently, with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Detail-oriented and capable of performing in a high-pressure environment.

Bonus Points

• Big 4 and public accounting experience is a plus.
• CPA is preferred.
• SaaS company experience is a plus.
• ERP or systems implementation experience is a plus.
• SAP and/or FinancialForce experience is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: $88,320.00 - $100,000.00 per year
