Description: The Investment Manager Services Division (IMS) at SEI is seeking a Financial Reporting Specialist to join their Financial Reporting team. The primary goal is to provide exceptional administration services to clients’ while interacting with Fund Accounting teams, auditors, printers, and other SEI personnel. This role involves preparing financial statements for various clients in accordance with regulatory and/or client deliverables calendars.

Requirements

  • Education: BA / BS in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in mutual fund or alternative investment funds industry.
  • Skills:
    • Strong accounting and financial reporting skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Draft annual, quarterly, and other financial statements for clients as applicable.
  • Support internal and external reviews of financial documents.
  • Prepare and provide necessary documentation to clients and assist in filings with the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) according to regulatory deadlines.
  • Assist in managing communications with fund accounting teams and external auditors on financial reporting issues.
  • Schedule and facilitate kick-off meetings for each client deliverable prior to financial reporting period end.
  • Contribute to the preparation of Board-related materials for mutual funds.
  • Support the completion of designated sections of the annual prospectus update for various clients.
  • Communicate with internal teams or client teams to resolve open issues and questions, utilizing internal and vendor support as needed.
