Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead role
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP
  • Proficiency in NetSuite accounting software
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial analysis tools
  • Excellent analytic, written, verbal and organizational skills with a proven ability to manage conflicting priorities to deliver a high-quality work product
  • Highly self-motivated individual who is disciplined, detail-oriented, and works well under pressure in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment
  • Advanced Excel and Google Suite of products (Sheets, Docs, Slides) is a plus
  • Biotech/pharmaceutical industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support and adhere to a monthly close and year-end close schedule by preparing accurate journal entries and completing reconciliation and analyses for various accounts timely
  • Assist with monthly management financial packages (with analysis) and other management reports as requested (this includes understanding and clearly articulating the financial results of the company and preparing balance sheet, income statement fluctuation)
  • Coordinate with external auditors and provide required audit support
  • Prepare and support tax PBC request in various area (including federal, state and tax provision for audit requirement)
  • Process and oversee payroll through PayPro, ensuring accuracy in employee compensation, deductions, benefits, and tax withholdings
  • Reconcile payroll-related accounts and prepare payroll journal entries
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure data integrity in all payroll and employee financial records
  • Assist account payable operations, including vendor invoices, payment processing, and purchase order reconciliation
  • Identify opportunities to automate and improve accounting processes using ERP systems or other tools
  • Work with cross-functional teams across the company to ensure proper support for the business unit
  • Work on ad-hoc request as needed and directed by management
