Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience (agency experience or fast-paced startup background preferred), ideally as a generalist in lifestyle and consumer tech spaces
  • Developed strong media relationships with a track record of securing top-tier press placements (with clips to prove it)
  • Skilled writer who crafts pitches, copy, fact sheets, media briefs, and press releases with clarity, cleverness, and error-free detail
  • Intellectually curious and a natural storyteller
  • Comfortable leading client calls and providing a first pass at strategic counsel
  • Creative thinker who takes risks, pushes the envelope, and contributes fresh ideas to campaigns
  • Passion for forging relationships with media, colleagues, and clients
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with strong attention to deadlines, trackers, and error-free work

Responsibilities

  • Support higher-level client communications for projects, lead call and meeting efforts for the team, and participate in strategy discussions
  • Work alongside client leads to contribute ideas towards viral campaign moments and bring them to life
  • Craft creative pitch angles that position clients uniquely and yield 20-100 placements per campaign idea
  • Write pitches, fact sheets, media briefs, press releases, and related materials to secure coverage
  • Establish and maintain warm relationships with consumer media (print, digital, podcast, broadcast) for regular placements and feature stories
  • Develop strategies and relationships for placements in social media channels (e.g., Hypebeast’s TikTok)
  • Mentor junior team members to help them grow into future leaders
