Requirements

  • High School Education or GED preferred
  • Must be able to read and communicate in English (to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive coaching, read labels, enter reports)
  • Prefer one year recent experience in highly physical, labor-intensive occupation (e.g., construction, farm work, roofing, freight handling, trash collection)
  • Six months comparable warehouse experience
  • Six months experience with warehouse material handling equipment (electric pallet jack or high low)
  • Six months experience working with manual order selection/order filling systems (e.g., Red Prairie, Voice Directed Picking Software)
  • Must be able to read alpha and numeric codes from pick sheets and slots
  • Must be team oriented and able to get along with others
  • Strength, endurance, and ability to work in extreme temperature conditions (normal warehouse, cooler, freezer as low as -5 degrees)
  • Physical ability to: STAND continuously; DRIVE continuously; WALK/SIT occasionally; LIFT 10-100 lbs. frequently; CARRY 10-20 lbs. occasionally (with or without reasonable accommodation)

Responsibilities

  • Performs all pre-shift duties including safety check of all equipment
  • Selects customer grocery orders from pick slots using pick lists, operating pallet jack with Voxware Voice Logistics Software, moving products from racks to pallet, labeling cases, and validating correct, damage-free product
  • Notifies Stocker of empty or short slots for replenishment
  • Delivers built pallets of correct merchandise to correct dock area and shrink wraps palletized orders
  • Works in multi-temperature areas as assigned
  • Meets weekly standards for productivity and accuracy while working safely
  • Performs post-shift duties: clearing aisles of debris, returning pallet jack to charging area, removing/stacking empty pallets, cleaning spills, moving damaged product to recoup area, completing paperwork
  • Attends all required company meetings, adheres to safety practices and company policies
  • Satisfactorily completes all company mandated trainings and assessments
