Requirements

  • Ability to frequently lift and work in freezer, cooler, and dry warehouse environments with extreme cold and/or warm temperatures
  • Successfully complete forklift operator certification process and testing
  • Specific equipment and/or process certification for material handling equipment (MHE), primarily reach forklift
  • Ability to operate warehouse computers and RF equipment (SWMS) safely and professionally
  • Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies (e.g., attendance, Code of Business Conduct & Ethics, Associate Handbook)
  • Comply with all applicable State/Federal laws, regulations, and policies (e.g., OSHA, HACCP)
  • Support food safety policies, standard operating procedures, and prerequisite food safety control programs
  • Perform duties safely, accurately, and meet set productivity standards and goals
  • Full-time availability for night shift: 11pm-7am Sunday-Thursday

Responsibilities

  • Follow warehouse management system (SWMS) directed tasking to transport pallets safely between staging areas, docks, layer picking areas, and storage using reach forklift
  • Pull/put away product using MHE, primarily reach forklift
  • Inspect product for shortages, damage, quality, or deterioration and report to supervisor
  • Secure pallets with shrink wrap for delivery to doors, staging areas, or rack storage
  • Use RF equipment to locate products, build pallets in Ti/Hi configuration, label, confirm quantities, and ensure date code rotation (older on top)
  • Count and label unused (residual) cases and return to correct slot
  • Transport multiple pallets with heavier items on bottom and lighter on top to prevent damage
  • Deliver stacked pallets to assigned loading dock areas for accurate staging
  • Maintain neatness, cleanliness of work areas and aisles, and accuracy of warehouse locations
  • Report unfixable/unsafe issues to supervisor immediately
  • Observe and enforce all safety rules, use proper lifting techniques, and operate MHE (forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks) safely
  • Perform daily MHE inspections, keep clean, and report repair/service needs
  • Work effectively with supervisor to minimize warehouse shrink/damage
  • Perform other warehouse duties as assigned
