Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or associate degree with 2 years relevant experience in system administration/help desk/security (cyber or physical)
  • OR High School Diploma/GED with 3 years relevant experience in IT system administration/help desk/security (cyber or physical)
  • OR graduation from an approved Cybersecurity Program
  • OR non-degree qualifications (such as hands-on demonstrated ability in a technical interview/assessment)
  • 2 or more years of Information Technology related experience
  • OR 1 or more years of security related experience, which may include military/government work experience
  • Preferred Requirements
  • Knowledge of security equipment, systems, and networking
  • Experience with Viakoo and AutoCAD

Responsibilities

  • Participates in security projects/initiatives/incidents; directs security assignments
  • Assists in coordinating some work assignments of lower-level team members within the group
  • Contributes to the creation of a climate in which people want to do their best
  • Develop and present security documents and reports clearly, concisely, and effectively
  • Adjust and translate delivery style to fit the audience
  • Identifies, clarifies, resolves, and initiates solutions to security problems that involve analysis of inadequate or conflicting data
  • Formulates questions and seeks clarification before analyzing or applying security measures
  • Produces status reports with minimal guidance from higher level team members
  • Maintains an awareness of time constraints for work activities; makes appropriate adjustments when needed
  • Actively participates in team initiatives and meetings by preparing, making contributions and following through on agreements
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of physical security assets, including cameras, access control systems, and alarm systems
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of security equipment to ensure all assets are accounted for and functioning properly
  • Manage the lifecycle of security assets, including updating drawings when equipment is changed
  • Monitor and assess firmware updates for physical security devices to enhance performance and security
  • Coordinate and execute firmware updates on security systems in accordance with established schedules and protocols
  • Test and validate firmware updates to ensure compatibility and performance post-update
  • Identify and prioritize vulnerabilities in physical security systems and recommend appropriate patching solutions
  • Develop and implement patch management strategies to ensure timely application of security patches to hardware and software
  • Document and report on the status of patches and firmware updates, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry standards
  • Assists in gathering, investigating, and analyzing security requirements, processes, and incidents
  • Assesses security controls through security testing or other means to ensure effectiveness
  • Develops and maintains necessary documentation of security systems, projects, and/or processes to ensure unified understanding of system details
  • Often involved directly in implementation, support, and/or usage of technical solutions
