Requirements

10+ years of experience in physical security, preferably in a cloud infrastructure or data center environment
Proven track record of establishing and enforcing enterprise-grade security controls
Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in scaling global security programs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work with cross-functional teams and external partners
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze complex security data and drive process improvements
Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation
Familiarity with enterprise compliance requirements, such as NIST, PCI-DSS, and HIPAA
Strong understanding of physical security concepts, including access control, surveillance, and incident response
Ability to travel globally (up to 20%) for site visits and meetings
Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as security, business, or engineering

Responsibilities

Lead and scale Vultr's global physical security program, establishing strategic direction and operational frameworks
Design and oversee vendor management strategy for colocation providers
Direct facility security assessment programs, including on-site inspections and control validation
Establish visitor access management frameworks and define shared responsibility models between Vultr and facility providers
Build standardized facility evaluation processes for site selection, provider onboarding, and continuous compliance validation
Request and analyze evidence from colocation providers to validate security posture
Present security posture and program strategy to enterprise customers, auditors, and executive stakeholders
Establish physical security governance frameworks, including policies, standards, and compliance documentation
Drive process improvements and analyze complex security data to inform decision-making
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective communication of security strategies and initiatives
