Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a relevant area (e.g., chemistry, biochemistry)
5+ years’ relevant industry experience within a GMP laboratory
Experience with HPLC and Empower is essential
Experience in Method Validation, Method Transfer, and Analytical testing
Analytical testing support for inhalation devices (pMDIs, DPIs, nebulizers, nasal sprays, and novel devices)
Demonstrated proficiency in lab environment: HPLC, GC, MS, Dissolution testing, Karl Fischer, UV-vis, FT-IR, TOC
Testing experience of inhalation devices with cascade impaction, dose delivery, and particle size analysis
Detailed knowledge of method validation (method development an advantage)
Ability to plan, schedule, and carry out work for successful project completion
Positive attitude and ability to work well with others
Excellent attention to detail

Responsibilities

Perform complex laboratory analysis of pharmaceutical products
Proficiently use analytical instrumentation, calculate and analyze data, and record data
Routinely act as project leader on multiple projects
Interact with clients
Review and evaluate data
Write reports and protocols
Responsible for the scientific conduct of the project
Communicate regulatory issues with senior level team members
Independently perform method validations, method transfers, and analytical testing of pharmaceutical compounds in a variety of formulations
Design and complete experiments with minimal supervision
Prepare study protocols, project status reports, final study reports, and other project-related technical documents
Communicate data and technical issues to the client and respond to client needs
Mentor, train, and coordinate laboratory activities of other team members
Assist in troubleshooting instruments and analytical problems
Assist in designing method validation or method transfer protocols and establishing project timelines
Review data for technical, quality, and compliance to protocols, methods, SOPs, client criteria, and GMP
