Requirements

  • Advanced degree preferably in a related quantitative field (Data Science, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, or Economics)
  • 5+ years of business experience, preferably in the financial industry / risk management or in statistical modeling / data analysis
  • Knowledge of analytical techniques and decision tool and expertise with statistical analysis, applying different machine learning techniques, predictive modeling, and data mining to interpret data and solve business problems
  • Experience with data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python), and statistical/mathematical programming languages (e.g. R, SAS)
  • Familiarity in using AWS, Hadoop, PySpark, Java, Scala, Spark, Git and data visualization tools such as Tableau
  • Ability to communicate ideas and analysis results both verbally and in writing to any audience and to present to all levels of management within Experian and to clients
  • Knowledge in credit decisioning, strategy setting, and gathering requirements and knowledge of credit bureau data and its use

Responsibilities

  • Provide client consultation for analytical consulting engagements, including decision tool and strategy implementation and monitoring
  • Complete ad-hoc analytical projects for clients, which would include score validations, business intelligence analyzes and optimization strategies
  • Implement projects to support the direct revenue goal for the Configured Analytics team, ensuring high-quality deliverables
  • Work interactively with a team of trained Consultants, Project Managers, Statisticians, and Analysts
  • Support sales and software consultants to understand client needs and provide viable analytical solutions
  • Lead business development efforts and support product development, management, and marketing programs to fuel revenue growth
  • Develop internal and external relationships
  • Support field sales team and marketing organization by providing analytical and consulting expertise
  • Participate in internally and externally sponsored speaking engagements
  • Create presentations and present to internal and external clients on statistical analyses of results
  • Manage projects ensuring accurate deliverables
  • Provide direction to statistical analyst on statistical methods to achieve analytical goals, which could include multiple regression methodologies, decision trees and clusters
