The Science Desk & Short Wave Internship involves reporting and producing digital stories for the Science desk’s sections (Shots, Goats and Soda, and general science), pitching story and episode ideas, assisting in reporting stories by NPR correspondents, producing those stories for NPR’s website, fact-checking Short Wave episodes, researching and booking guests, writing interview questions for original reporting, and assisting in episode audio production and promotion.
