Responsibilities

  • Schedule truck, barge, ship, and rail movements necessary to meet demands through use of proprietary and third-party scheduling systems
  • Monitor inventories and shipping schedules daily to ensure that supply meets demand
  • Schedule barge movements and coordinate vessel blending with multiple internal groups
  • Execute scheduling strategies that optimize changes in supply due to operating constraints, unplanned events, and changes in market fundamentals
  • Work with internal and external partners to accommodate changes in supply
  • Interface with traders and analysts to stay abreast of trading activity and to recommend and implement changes in supply movements to achieve optimum value
  • Monitor contract balances and communicate significant carryover/shortfall to traders and analysts
  • Work to resolve outstanding contract issues in conjunction with accounting, trader and third-party suppliers
  • Convey clear and concise information regarding inventory levels, forecast anomalies, and market shifts to stakeholders
  • Interface with third-party suppliers and inspection companies, terminal, marine, rail, transport operations, marketing, pricing, product quality and light product personnel
  • Complete special projects as assigned
