Requirements

  • Must have 3 months work experience listed on application (can be multiple employers but must add up to 3 months)
  • Proficiency in reading and writing; ability to complete on-the-job paperwork and effectively communicate across all management levels
  • Must be capable of disassembling and reassembling equipment
  • Must be able to work every Sunday and occasional holidays
  • Must be able to work a variable schedule and be able to work up to 12 hours in one shift
  • Must be willing to work outside on occasion
  • Willing and able to perform physical requirements: lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk/bend/squat/stretch/climb/push/pull/reach, stand 8-12 hours on hard floors, perform repetitive motions, work in cold/damp environment and on slippery surfaces
  • Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 365 days and are limited to 3 times of employment

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness of plant in accordance with Master Cleaning Schedule per SSOP’s
  • Complete all required cleaning logs
  • Disassemble/reassemble equipment and machinery prior to cleaning
  • Use hazardous chemicals on daily basis in a safe manner following all applicable safety guidelines and procedures
  • Use high pressure sprayer/water hose and high-pressure air wand to clean equipment
  • Perform dry pick-up of all inedible material on machines and floors
  • Maintain high pressure air, water hoses, drop stations, and water guns
  • Change socks/filters on schedule and maintain the bag house door seals
  • Communicate with various departments on a regular basis
  • Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP, and SQF requirements
  • Perform all positions of rotation, if applicable
  • Perform any other work as assigned by supervisor
  • Complete any additional tasks deemed necessary to complete sanitation process
