This is not a remote position; it requires independent travel throughout the assigned territory in Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, Huntsville, Auburn, Montgomery, and Mobile AL, up to 25% travel, approximately 1-2 times per month, with reliable transportation needed to visit accounts.
Required qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of applicable sales experience, in-depth knowledge of DON’s products and services, intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, multitasking, communication, time management, and customer service skills.
Essential duties include independent travel to call on customers and solicit orders, displaying products, quoting prices, staying informed on products and pricing, handling collections, participating in pre-pack check-ins (lifting up to 50 lbs), maintaining contacts, analyzing marketing data, monitoring competitors, and acting as a consultant to customers.
Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree with at least 2 years of experience in B2B foodservice sales and previous knowledge or experience working with SAP.
