Requirements

  • Electrical/Mechanical/Power Plant Engineering Degree or equivalent experience desired
  • 10-15 years’ experience in power/oil & gas/refinery/petrochemical/chemical industry
  • At least 5 years of new equipment turbomachinery sales/business development experience
  • Gas Turbine experience preferred
  • Extensive experience in Customer Focus (facilitates creation of right products/services, fosters relationships, anticipates needs, measures satisfaction)
  • Extensive experience in Industry Knowledge (educates on industry position, compares developments, assesses regulations, explains trends)
  • Extensive experience in Decision Making and Critical Thinking (analyzes situations, reaches informed decisions)

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and coordinates all sales and various solution programs of new turbomachinery systems, construction services, and aftermarket services within assigned geographic area and for specific customer accounts
  • Applies knowledge of turbomachinery products and services in the Power Generation market to identify sales opportunities, propose solutions, and convince customers of product differentiation and Solar Turbines as the best partner
  • Develops a sales plan and forecast for assigned territory to support companywide goals and strategies
  • Manages client relations, develops new contacts, markets, and applications
  • Manages customer interface and ongoing relations to ensure technical services are delivered as expected, securing next sales and meeting expectations
  • Ensures all activities to fulfill contracts comply with company policies
  • Captures bookings to meet sales plan and forecast for assigned accounts to achieve targets/plans
