A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required, along with at least 3 years of successful sales account management experience. Candidates must possess strong skills in relationship building, identifying and addressing customer needs, effective communication, technical presentation, sales negotiation, and closing techniques. A proven track record in securing sales across various offerings and working with multiple purchasing tiers is essential, as is the ability to identify customer needs through feedback and technical knowledge. Demonstrated sales lead development, account cultivation, and the ability to manage multiple priorities without direct supervision are also required. The role is based remotely in the Northeast territory (PA, NY, NJ, MA, DE, or MD) and requires approximately 25-50% travel. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and not require sponsorship.
The Sales Manager will manage all aspects of customer businesses, including strategic assessment, sales forecasting, conducting regular business reviews, and implementing the beverage strategy. Responsibilities include writing annual business plans to forecast volume, revenue, and expenses, building and maintaining strong customer relationships with key members of their organizations, and gaining support from senior-level buyers for initiatives. The role involves meeting with outlet management, conducting restaurant audits to identify opportunities and ensure compliance, and collaborating with customers to develop viable solutions based on their business needs. Activating the Coca-Cola Company System to develop and implement business plans that meet customer needs and drive beverage category profit and volume is a key duty. Additionally, the Sales Manager will provide visionary and strategic thinking to anticipate future needs and recommend business-building ideas, and collaborate with cross-functional team members such as marketing and finance.
