Position Overview

The Solutions Engineer will partner with Sales Executives and Account Management to understand potential business opportunities at customers and prospects. This role involves researching and understanding prospects' strategic initiatives and identifying potential solutions for their organization. The Solutions Engineer will serve as the sales team's subject matter expert on the PayNearMe technology platform and services model, engaging in both internal and customer-facing capacities.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sales Executives and Account Management to understand potential business opportunities.
  • Research and understand prospects' strategic initiatives and identify potential solutions.
  • Serve as the sales team subject matter expert on PayNearMe technology platform and services model.
  • Develop and deliver demos of the PayNearMe platform for prospects and customers.
  • Prepare and develop technical presentations to explain our company's products or services.
  • Propose and scope solutions that transform the merchant’s payment experience.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to guide key functionality and benefits into core business value messages.
  • Solicit and log client feedback and evaluate data to create new sales and marketing strategies.
  • Provide feedback to the Product Management (PNM) team about market trends and discussions.
  • Achieve sales goals and quotas on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Build relationships with customer contacts in technical and operational roles and establish credibility with decision-makers.
  • Work closely with the onboarding team to initiate new implementations and ensure solution design documentation is complete.
  • Assist the sales team with answering RFP technical questions.
  • Document product gaps during the sales process and communicate them to the PNM product and engineering teams before contract signature.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of successful sales or solutions engineering experience.
  • 5+ years in payment processing, business process outsourcing, or bill payment industry services.
  • Excellent communication (written, oral) and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and driven.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • High emotional intelligence, with the ability to build new relationships easily.
  • Bi-lingual Spanish/English preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Additional Information

Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 (base salary)
