Requirements

  • Willingness to develop skills to become an effective sales representative
  • Ability to learn and practice sales techniques to grow territory volume through Stryker Sports Medicine products
  • Proficiency in managing business in accounts, including stock issues, instrument requirements, organising loan kits, and regular customer training
  • Capability to provide guidance on the safe use of Stryker products in hospital and operating theatre environments
  • Understanding of customers’ needs and ability to promote/sell Stryker products (with training on selling, presenting, and negotiation)
  • Knowledge of product provision methods (consignment, loan service) and managing these channels
  • Strong customer service skills for theatre and clinical environments, with prompt response to customer requests
  • Ability to build relationships with key personnel in hospitals
  • Commitment to patient safety and recommending appropriate products
  • Team-oriented, able to work closely with sales team members, Regional Business Manager, and Endoscopy sales force
  • Ethical conduct, treating customers and employees with respect
  • Ability to attend surgeon training meetings and educational conferences
  • Capability to conduct product trials and evaluations in theatre/clinical settings
  • Observational skills to identify customer needs and liaise with sales colleagues
  • Ability to record customer details and maintain a basic business plan (daily, weekly, monthly)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and foster strong relationships with key opinion leaders
  • Participate in customer education in the field, supporting Sales Representatives for greater engagement and commercial success
  • Pursue business opportunities to grow Stryker business in targeted accounts, displaying exemplary customer service and patient focus
  • Manage day-to-day running of key accounts within an existing sales territory
  • Support other sales managers to focus on new business acquisition and account development
  • Support all products within the Sports Medicine portfolio in a team-targeted environment alongside Endoscopy sales force
  • Learn and manage a territory effectively to grow business in line with national sales objectives
  • Implement, organise, and deliver training sessions/workshops on Stryker products to nurses, theatre practitioners, and surgeons
  • Provide customer service to existing customer base in specific hospitals, with day-to-day communication
  • Work closely with regional sales team and Regional Business Manager to ensure best-in-class customer service
  • Represent Stryker ethically and professionally at all times
