Requirements

HBO work and thinking level, preferably in integral safety or a comparable education
At least 3-5 years of experience in a comparable role within an industrial environment
Demonstrable knowledge of safety and health management systems and experience with RI&E (Risk Inventory & Evaluation)
Ability to translate laws and regulations into practical processes and work methods
Strong communicative and analytical skills
Natural leader and motivator, with persuasion skills and attention to detail
Experience in coaching and training employees and managing teams
Independent, organizationally strong, and proactive attitude

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and monitor the Health, Safety & Environment policy within the plant in Waalwijk
Draft, implement, and execute the Health & Safety annual plan and ensure compliance
Advise senior management and the Plant Director on safety and health issues
Translate laws and regulations into practice and monitor compliance with permits and company standards
Set up, manage, and execute quality and safety management systems, including ISO and OHSAS certifications
Lead and coach the safety team (Safety Officer and BHV coordinator) and develop training plans
Conduct internal audits, risk analyses, and safety inspections, and follow up on improvement points
Investigate and analyze (near-)accidents and implement corrective and preventive measures
Coordinate safety initiatives, training, and awareness programs
