Requirements

  • Relevant experience in Data Driven Merchandising (3+ years), including Pricing/Promotions/Assortment Optimization across retail clients
  • Must-have knowledge of SQL, R, and Python
  • Knowledge of at least one cloud-based technology (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Experience building price/discount elasticity models and conducting non-linear optimization
  • Good knowledge of state space and mixed-effect modeling techniques, optimization algorithms, and their applicability to industry data
  • AI capability migration experience from one cloud platform to another
  • Understanding of econometric/statistical modeling and analysis techniques (regression analysis, hypothesis testing, multivariate statistical analysis, time series techniques, optimization techniques)
  • Proficiency in statistical packages such as R, Python, SQL, PySpark
  • Proficient in Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint
  • Hands-on experience in state space modeling and mixed effect regression
  • Development of AI/ML models in Azure ML tech stack
  • Experience developing and managing data pipelines
  • Experience developing and managing data within different layers of Snowflake environment
  • Awareness of common design patterns for scalable machine learning architectures and tools for deploying/maintaining ML models in production
  • Working knowledge of Price/Promo optimization
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong client communication skills
  • Ability to leverage design thinking, business process optimization, and stakeholder management skills (good to have)

  • Provide strategic advisory services
  • Conduct market research and develop data-driven recommendations to enhance business performance
  • Manage documentation of data models, architecture, and maintenance processes
  • Define data requirements for Data Driven Merchandising capability
  • Clean, aggregate, analyze, interpret data, and carry out data quality analysis
  • Develop and manage data pipelines
  • Develop and manage data within different layers of Snowflake environment
  • Work through the phases of projects
  • Work along with the team and consultant/manager
  • Create insights presentations and client-ready decks
  • Mentor and guide junior resources
