Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • 8+ years of relevant civil engineering experience
  • Proficiency with project scheduling tools and software
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
  • Strong verbal and written communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Experience working on LPA and/or INDOT roadway design projects (ideal)

Responsibilities

  • Work on a variety of DOT and/or LPA roadway/highway projects
  • Support project managers in the planning and execution of engineering projects
  • Take a lead role in project planning, design, and implementation
  • Manage project tasks, budgets, schedules, and resources effectively
  • Delegate work to project team members
  • Coordinate with clients to understand project requirements and expectations
  • Perform detailed engineering analysis and design tasks
  • Assist with proposals or funding applications
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards
  • May perform other duties associated with this role
